Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1, 1995, in Berkeley California) is an actress. She is an actress known for Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).
Asia Argento, born in Rome into a family that also includes actors and directors also pursued these careers. The Church was directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon was the subsequent year's film, in which Asia was Nanni's daughters. Close Friends was written by Michele Placido and was directed by her. It was at this point that Asia's career began to take off as she transitioned from young girl roles to complex and mature roles. The film was highly acclaimed during the Cannes International Film Festival. The film was made with her father for the first time in Trauma which was directed by the acclaimed Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento. The mother of her, Daria Nicoleli, is the most adored actress of Argento, and she was the anorexic looking to find the murderer of her parents. Asia's absorbed and intense acting style was put to good use in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. In 1993, she was a co-star in the film of Carlo Verdones, Perdiamoci di vista where she was Arianna who was a physical challenged woman. It was a complex role and demanding, earning her the David di Donatello for the best actor. In 1995 she worked together with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration won her a David di Donatello award as well as a Grolla d'oro. Asia started the profession of directing in 1994. She produced two shorts, one of which was De Generazione. The following year, 1996, Asia made a document on her father. Then, in 1998, Asia made a feature film about Abel Ferrara (AbelAsia), which received an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia directed her debut feature in Scarlet Diva (1999), in which she was the main actress in the film as well as the writer of the screenplay. The film was released in May 2000 in Italy and the rest of the world. The film was awarded an award in Brooklyn during the Williamsburg International Film Festival.
