Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister and a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start combat sports as a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority verdict. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an additional medal in the year 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold in 2011, and won the IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia has started her professional career in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016, the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. The WMC World Championships were held in 2016, and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via unanimity. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut came in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a unanimous vote and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the clinch. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was able to sign the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. This earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night.
